I was born in Leamington Spa, and brought up in Coventry, where I went to school. I decided I wanted to become a dentist at a very early age. I was always nervous of going to the dentist, so it made me look into the field to try and overcome my fear, and then became interested in what could be done to help nervous patients. I was accepted to study dentistry at the University of Birmingham in 1996, and have always believed in listening to what my patients want and expect, understand what makes them feel anxious, and to strive to make them feel as comfortable as possible.

I moved to Hull in 2002, when I joined Wansbeck Dental Spa and Implant Clinic, and then took hold of the reins in 2006. I have made a lot of changes since then, so that patients are cared for and treated the way I would like to be as a patient.

In 2002, I was awarded a Member of the faculty of the general dental practitioners at the Royal College of Surgeons, London.

I have carried out extensive training in general and cosmetic dentistry, tooth whitening, rapid and invisible tooth straightening, treatment of nervous patients, wrinkle treatments, including dermal fillers and botulinum toxin treatments, medicated facial skin products and chemical peels.

I have undergone extensive training in the field of implants at the University of Sheffield.

I believe very much in keeping up to date with modern techniques, buying the best materials on the market, and investing in state of the art equipment. We import many of our materials from the USA, Germany and Sweden to ensure we are offering the best quality for our patients. This way, the treatment we perform doesn't just look good and last for a few months or years - it still looks great in years to come! Dentistry should be about doing it once, but doing it right with the best materials and equipment, so that it lasts!

Wansbeck Dental Spa and Implant Clinic is my pride and joy - I take great care in making everyone feel at home when they visit. I believe in the traditional values of an excellent service, and I pride myself in being flexible to cater for my patient's wishes.

At Christmas, I even bake my own Christmas cake for patients to enjoy with a freshly brewed coffee in the lounge while they are waiting to be seen! Anything for my patients!
